Boilermaker / Fabricator - Steel Manufacturing

We are a privately owned, family-operated manufacturer of premium steel and aluminium road transport equipment based at the Port of Brisbane.

With over 40 years of industry experience, we've built a reputation for quality workmanship, innovation and reliability. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Steel Boilermaker / Fabricator to join our team.

Working within our production team, you'll be involved in the fabrication and welding of heavy transport trailer chassis and structural components in a contemporary manufacturing facility alongside a skilled and supportive team.

About the Role

n

As part of our steel fabrication team, your responsibilities will include:

n

n
Fabricating and assembling heavy steel trailer chassis and components
n
MIG welding of structural steel components
n
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
n
Measuring, marking out,



cutting and fitting steel components
n
Grinding, finishing and preparing welds
n
Conducting quality checks to ensure work meets company standards
n
Maintaining a clean, secure and organised work area
n
Working collaboratively with supervisors and team members to achieve production targets
n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (or equivalent)
n
Proven experience in steel fabrication
n
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
n
Strong fabrication, measuring and fitting skills
n
High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
n
Strong commitment to workplace safetyAbility to work independently and as part of a team
n
Current driver's licence
n

Highly Regarded

n

While not essential, experience in the following will be advantageous:

Heavy vehicle or trailer manufacturing
n
Structural steel fabrication
n
Fabrication jigs and fixtures
n
Forklift licence
n
Overhead crane experience
n
Manufacturing or heavy engineering environment
