About the role

Sitting within the procurement team, you'll manage the flow of products from China to Australia and everything in between, from a handful of key overseas suppliers through to arrival at the warehouse. It's a busy, high-volume operation, around 60 containers a month and growing, with plenty of out of gauge cargo.

Day to day responsibilities include:
Coordinate international shipments end to end, from supplier through to delivery
Liaise with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders and shipping lines to track shipments,



progressively taking ownership of booking international freight directly (currently supplier-managed)
Arrange local delivery of containers from port to the warehouse or nominated delivery points
Track and trace any container damage back to its source
Review freight and shipping invoices against quotes before submitting for payment
Stay across documentation, timelines and landed costs1
Spot and resolve delays before they become problems, keeping the business informed along the way

About you
Experienced logistics, freight forwarding or supply chain coordination, with solid international import exposure
Fluent in Mandarin (highly advantageous)
Confident working with freight forwarders, shipping lines and shipping documentation
Experience with out-of-gauge, open-top or oversized cargo (beneficial)
A confident communicator who takes the initiative to chase issues and keep relevant stakeholders informed
A strong organiser who can juggle multiple shipments and stay across the detail
