Hollimans are seeking a qualified Plastics Technician to join their production team in Hughenden QLD. This role is responsible for programming, adjusting, repairing, and maintaining machines that manufacture plastic products. You will play a key part in ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety across our plastics manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
Program and operate production machinery using knowledge of polymers, additives, and related materials.
n
Supervise the loading of polymer resins and additives into machines.
n
Inspect, calibrate, and regulate machines to maintain optimal performance.
n
Conduct routine quality control tests, including dimensional checks, hardness, clarity of color, and appearance.
n
Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust machines to minimize downtime.
n
Prepare production and maintenance schedules to maximize productivity.




n
Recommend technical design or process changes to improve efficiency and product quality.
n
Maintain accurate records of operational and production data.
n

Skills & Experience

n

n
Certificate III or equivalent qualification in plastics technology or related trade (Skill Level 3).
n
Demonstrated experience in plastics manufacturing or machine operation.
n
Robust problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
n
Ability to work independently and coordinate workflow processes.
n
Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Salary and Application Information

n

Salary range is $75,000 - $95,000pa commensurate with experience. Fulltime Position available. Applications open on 14th September 2026 and closes on 14th October 2026
