An exciting prospect has become available for an experienced Payroll Manager to join the head office of a rapidly growing national retail business based in Maroochydore.

With a large workforce across Australia and New Zealand and continued growth ahead, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of payroll, improving processes and working within a fast-paced, people-focused business.

You will take responsibility for the end-to-end payroll function across Australia and Current Zealand, while leading and developing a small payroll team.

The Role

Reporting into senior finance leadership, your responsibilities will include:
Managing end-to-end payroll across Australia and New Zealand
Overseeing payroll for a large, multi-site workforce
Leading and supporting a small payroll team
Ensuring accurate and timely processing of weekly and fortnightly payrolls
Managing superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax and statutory obligations
Ensuring compliance with relevant awards, legislation and employment requirements
Managing payroll reporting, reconciliations and month-end requirements
Working closely with Finance, HR and operational teams
Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes, systems and controls




Supporting the business as it continues to grow and evolve

About You

We are looking for an experienced payroll professional who is confident taking ownership of a complex payroll environment.

You will ideally have:
Robust end-to-end payroll experience
Previous experience managing or leading a payroll function
Experience within a multi-site or high-volume setting
Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards and compliance
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Robust systems capability
A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to get involved
Experience with New Zealand payroll will be highly regarded
