Workhorse Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join a busy fabrication workshop manufacturing custom sheet metal components and industrial products.

This is a great temp to perm prospect for a skilled tradesperson looking for reliable, long-term work with a thriving manufacturer. The role offers plenty of variety across fabrication, welding, fitting and assembly, with most of the work based in the workshop.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Either MIG or TIG welding on stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium
Light fabrication
General fitting, assembly and repair work
Operating press brakes, guillotines and power tools
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and sketches




Completing quality checks on finished products
Occasional site installation and repair work as required
Maintaining a safe, clean and organised workshop

ABOUT YOU
Fabrication Trade Qualification
Minimum 2 years of sheet metal fabrication experience
Strong MIG or TIG welding skills
Experience working with stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Experience operating workshop production machinery
White Card
Current Driver Licence
Forklift Licence preferred but not essential
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
A solid focus on workplace health and safety
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
