An established Brisbane personal injury practice is looking for an experienced Personal Injury Lawyer with approximately 3–5 years PAE to join its growing team.

This is a hands-on, autonomous role suited to someone who is already confident managing personal injury matters and can step in and run files without needing close supervision. You will manage a mixed caseload, predominantly across WorkCover claims, together with CTP and PIPA matters.

The firm takes a practical approach to performance. There are no daily billing expectations, with the focus instead on progressing files, achieving solid outcomes for clients and maintaining a sustainable workload.

The Role
n
You will manage your own personal injury files across both pre-litigation and litigated stages, including:
n
n
Managing predominantly WorkCover claims, together with CTP and PIPA matters
n
Taking detailed client statements and advising clients throughout their claims
n
Preparing and lodging WorkCover claims
n
Managing matters from initial instructions through to settlement
n
Drafting correspondence, court material and other legal documents
n
Liaising with insurers, medical professionals, counsel and other stakeholders
n
Preparing matters for conferences and mediations
n
Negotiating settlements and progressing files efficiently
n
Managing an initial caseload of approximately 30 files
n
n
You will also have robust administration support, allowing you to focus on progressing matters and client outcomes.

About You
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
Approximately 3–5 years PAE in personal injury law
n
Strong experience across WorkCover claims
n
Exposure to CTP and motor vehicle accident matters
n
Confidence managing files independently from start to finish
n
Experience across both pre-litigation and litigated matters
n
Robust client communication and statement-taking skills
n
The ability to prioritise matters and keep files progressing without close supervision
n
