About the Role
n
Stralis Energy is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic / Diesel Fitter skilled in operating excavators around services to join our team on the New England Solar Farm, located near Armidale, NSW.
n With prospects to work on subsequent projects across Australia, in this dual-skilled role, you'll be responsible for the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of heavy diesel plant and equipment, as well as operating excavators as required on site.
n
The role will involve operating and maintaining excavators, and other plant and machinery, to support civil and electrical construction works. Including trenching, backfilling, material handling and general site activities.
n
We welcome applications from local candidates, and candidates travelling to the project on a roster basis.

This is a casual position with a start mid-late September
n
n
Monday to Saturday - or 20 & 8 roster
n
Above award hourly rates and applicable penalty rates.

Skills and Experience
n
n
Drivers Licence is essential.
n
HR Licence is desirable.
n
White Card is essential.
n
Machine operating licences such as Excavator and Telehandler are essential.
n
Demonstrated experience operating excavators and other civil plant and machinery, including trenching and civil construction works.
n
Ability to work safely around heavy machinery.
n
Must be an experienced, competent and safety-conscious plant operator.
n
Experience working on utility network projects, including Essential Energy or Energex, is highly desirable.
n
Ability to work effectively on large-scale construction projects while adhering to strict safety standards and procedures.
n
Show positive attention to detail and have the ability to work in a team setting with a can-do attitude.
n
Be fit and able to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol test.
n
Able to pass daily breath testing and random drug testing on site.
