GDH Builders is seeking a Qualified Carpenter to join our dynamic team in Yeppoon, QLD.
This is a full-time position based on-site, offering an excellent opportunity to work on diverse residential and commercial carpentry projects.
As a Qualified Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality craftsmanship and ensuring projects are completed to specification and on schedule.
Your expertise and attention to detail will directly contribute to the reputation and success of GDH Builders in the local community.What you'll be doingAssembling and installing wooden structures such as frames, flooring, roofing, and fixtures according to plans and specificationsReading and interpreting architectural drawings, blueprints, and technical specificationsPreparing work sites, including setting up scaffolding and ensuring safe working conditionsFitting and installing doors, windows, shelving, and cabinetry with precision and accuracyPerforming finishing work including sanding, staining, and varnishing timber surfacesCollaborating with other tradespeople, supervisors, and clients to ensure project requirements are metMaintaining tools and equipment in positive working condition and following all health and safety protocolsContributing to problem-solving on-site and making recommendations for improved construction methodsWhat we're looking forA completed apprenticeship or formal qualification in carpentry with current Australian certificationProven experience as a qualified carpenter in residential and/or commercial building projectsKnowledge of building codes, safety standards, and best practices in the carpentry industryStrong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively on-siteA valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to different job sites as requiredWhat we offerAt GDH Builders, we value our team members and provide a competitive remuneration package reflective of your skills and experience.
