Gowling Stairs Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Staircase Installer to join our team on a full-time basis.
Based in Vermont VIC, this role is central to delivering high-quality staircase installations for our clients across residential and commercial projects.
As a Staircase Installer, you will be responsible for the precise installation, assembly and finishing of staircases in accordance with design specifications and safety standards.
This position plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining Gowling Stairs' reputation for excellence in the building and construction industry.Key responsibilitiesInstall and assemble staircases on site, including wooden, metal and composite materials, following technical drawings and specificationsMeasure, cut and prepare staircase components with precision to ensure accurate fit and alignmentSecure and fasten staircase elements safely using appropriate fixings, adhesives and installation techniquesApply finishing touches including sanding to staircases as requiredInspect completed installations to ensure they meet quality standards, design specifications and building codesLiaise with site managers and customers to ensure installations proceed smoothly and professionallyMaintain a clean and protected work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations on siteTransport materials and equipment to job sitesTroubleshoot installation issues and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal resultsMaintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any maintenance needsWhat we're looking forProven experience as a Staircase Installer or similar carpentry installation role, ideally 3+ years in the industryStrong knowledge of staircase design,



construction methods and installation techniques for various materialsProficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints and specificationsExcellent measuring, cutting and precision skills with attention to detailCompetence in using hand tools, power tools and installation equipment safely and effectivelySound understanding of building codes, safety standards and compliance requirements relevant to staircase installationPhysical fitness and ability to work at heights and in confined spacesReliability, strong work ethic and ability to manage time effectively on multiple projectsGood communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members and clientsCurrent driver's licence and own reliable transport for travelling to job sitesRelevant qualifications or certifications in carpentry or construction (preferred)What we offerAt Gowling Stairs, we value our skilled tradespeople and offer a competitive full-time position with ongoing work opportunities.
