Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) & Room LeaderThe Trustee for ESSENTIAL EARLY LEARNING – Mount Pritchard NSWYou will lead the educational program in one of our rooms, working alongside a small, supportive team of educators.
You will plan, implement and evaluate an educational program aligned with the EYLF V2.0 and the National Quality Standard, maintain learning documentation, observations and children's portfolios, lead and mentor educators in the room, supporting their planning cycle practice, build genuine, respectful partnerships with families, contribute to our Quality Improvement Plan and self-assessment, and support implementation of the Child Protected Standards and all service policies and procedures.Key responsibilitiesLead the educational program in one of our roomsPlan, implement and evaluate an educational program aligned with the EYLF V2.0 and the National Quality StandardMaintain learning documentation, observations and children's portfoliosLead and mentor educators in the room, supporting their planning cycle practiceBuild genuine,



respectful partnerships with familiesContribute to our Quality Improvement Plan and self-assessmentSupport implementation of the Child Safe Standards and all service policies and proceduresAbout youACECQA-approved four-year Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent early childhood teaching qualificationCurrent NESA teacher accreditation (Provisional, Conditional or Proficient)Current NSW Working with Children Check clearanceCurrent HLTAID012 first aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis certificationCurrent Child Protection Awareness trainingKnowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations, and EYLF V2.0Strong written documentation skills and the ability to lead a room teamExperience as a Room Leader or Educational Leader (desirable)Experience preparing a service for Assessment and Rating (desirable)Familiarity with OWNA or similar childcare management software (desirable)2 hours paid non-contact time per week for programmingSupport and mentoring toward Proficient accreditationEmployer-funded first aid and CPR renewalsA small service where you have a genuine say in how the program runsFree on-site parkingAbout usEssential Early Learning is a long day care service located in Mount Pritchard, operating Monday to Friday, 7am–6pm.
