We're partnering with an established organisation to appoint an experienced Finance Manager for an initial four-month contract, with the possibility of extension.This is a hands-on role suited to a technically strong finance skilled who can step into an existing function, quickly understand the environment and take ownership of core financial accounting and month-end activities.Working closely with senior finance leadership and the broader finance team, you'll provide additional capability across financial control, reporting, reconciliations and day-to-day accounting requirements.About the RoleYour responsibilities will include:Taking hands-on ownership of month-end close activitiesPreparing and reviewing journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliationsMaintaining balance sheet integrity and investigating outstanding itemsPreparing monthly financial and management reportingSupporting statutory reporting, audit and compliance requirementsOverseeing general ledger accuracy and ensuring appropriate financial controlsSupporting cash flow, working capital and financial reporting requirementsReviewing AP, AR and transactional accounting activities as requiredSupporting budgeting, forecasting and variance analysisIdentifying opportunities to improve accounting processes,



controls and reportingWorking collaboratively with finance and operational stakeholdersTaking ownership of assigned finance projects and deliverables throughout the contract periodAbout YouYou'll be a CA or CPA-qualified finance professional with strong financial accounting and financial control experience, ideally gained at Finance Manager, Financial Controller or equivalent level.
We will consider experienced Senior Financial Accountants who have been performing in a Manager/Controller level role.You'll be comfortable remaining hands-on with the detail, particularly around month-end, reconciliations and reporting, while having the experience to work autonomously and quickly establish priorities in an existing finance environment.You will bring:Strong month-end and financial accounting capabilitySound technical accounting and financial control knowledgeExperience preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliationsStrong reporting, budgeting and forecasting experienceConfidence working across AP, AR and broader transactional financeStrong Excel and ERP systems capabilityA practical, organised approach and ability to work autonomouslyAvailability to commence at short noticeThe DetailsThis is an initial four-month contract, with the possibility of extension.
