Senior Testing and Certification EngineerThis is a hands‐on senior technical role focused on testing, assessing and determining the compliance of electrical, electronic and mechanical equipment against applicable Explosion Protection standards and certification requirements.Key responsibilitiesLead and undertake Ex product testing, assessment and certificationDevelop test plans and conduct laboratory testing against applicable standardsPrepare technical reports, compliance assessments and certification documentationReview product designs, drawings and technical documentation for complianceConduct client audits and support ExTC's quality, accreditation and certification activitiesProvide technical guidance, mentoring and training to other engineersBuild and maintain strong technical relationships with customers and other industry stakeholdersPrepare estimates, quotations and monitor project costsSupport continuous improvement, maintain awareness, and contribute changes to relevant standards and certification requirementsAbout youDegree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline10+ years' experience in a relevant technical fieldExperience in electrical, electronic or mechanical design, manufacturing, testing, certification,



commissioning or a related engineering environmentStrong understanding of electrical, electronic and/or mechanical systemsPractical experience using test equipment and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentationStrong communication, analytical and problem‐solving skillsHigh qualified integrity, sound technical judgement and strong attention to detailDesirable: Experience in Explosion Protection, particularly Intrinsic Safety (Ex i) to IEC ******** and Flameproof Enclosures (Ex d) to IEC *******; familiarity with the broader IEC ***** series, including IEC ******** and AS/NZS **** for overhaul, repair and reclamation of Ex equipment; experience in hazard and risk assessment; IECEx or ANZEx certification experience; ISO/IEC ******** or ISO **** auditing; CAD/design; and field service, commissioning or fault‐finding experienceAbout usEx Testing and Certification is an accredited and internationally recognised Certification Body and Test Laboratory operating under the IECEx and ANZEx certification schemes.
