Senior Refrigeration EngineerThis is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing manufacturing site in Braeside, working with a well-established company that designs and supplies advanced heating, cooling, hot water and lifestyle products across the Australian domestic and commercial markets.Reporting directly to the Group Manager – R&D;, this is a hands-on engineering role where you will be involved throughout the product development process - from initial concept and system design through to prototyping, testing, optimisation, and production release.This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing manufacturing site in Braeside, working with a well-established company that designs and supplies advanced heating, cooling, hot water and lifestyle products across the Australian domestic and commercial markets.Reporting directly to the Group Manager – R&D;, this is a hands-on engineering role where you will be involved throughout the product development process - from initial concept and system design through to prototyping, testing, optimisation, and production release.What you'll doDesign and develop air conditioning, refrigeration and heat pump systemsUndertake refrigeration system design, component sizing, selection and system integrationSelect and evaluate key components including compressors, heat exchangers, fans, expansion devices and controlsConduct laboratory testing, analyse performance data and troubleshoot system issuesOptimise systems for capacity, efficiency, reliability,



cost and manufacturabilityWork closely with suppliers and manufacturing partners on component specifications and technical solutionsSupport prototype development, testing, design reviews and product validationEnsure products meet relevant Australian safety, performance and compliance requirementsManage engineering projects from concept through to product releaseWork collaboratively with R&D;, manufacturing, quality and other internal teamsProvide technical guidance and support to engineers and other team membersAbout youYou will be an experienced refrigeration or HVAC engineer with strong practical knowledge and a hands-on approach to product development.A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration, HVAC or a related disciplineStrong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, thermodynamics and system designSignificant experience in HVAC, refrigeration, heat pump or related product developmentA strong understanding of refrigeration components and system behaviourExperience with performance testing, fault finding and design optimisationExperience working with suppliers and manufacturing partnersKnowledge of relevant Australian standards and product compliance requirementsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsGood communication and project management skillsThe ability to work effectively across engineering, manufacturing and other functionsWhat's on offerCompetitive salary packageOpportunity to work on the development of real-world products from concept through to productionOn-site gymStable and established company with a solid reputation in the marketA hands-on role with genuine involvement in product development and innovation
