Senior Health Safety and Wellbeing Advisor

To help usachieve this we are seeking anexperiencedSenior Health Safety & Wellbeing Officerto join our team.
Reporting to the Manager Health, Safety & Wellbeing,you'll provide hands-on, practical HSW advice, guidance and leadership acrossCouncil's diverse field and office-based operations.
You'll build capability inour leaders and workers and help drive a Safety Always culture.
To succeed in this role you will have:
A degree-levelqualification in work health and safety, or an equivalent combination ofqualifications and experience.
Certificate IV inTraining & Assessment, and formal qualifications in auditing andinvestigations.
A current C classdriver's licence and Construction Induction (White) Card.
Thorough knowledge ofWHS legislation, regulations, codes of practice and principles, includinginjury management and workers compensation in NSW.
Demonstrated experiencein risk management, incident investigation, assurance activities, andrehabilitation and return-to-work case management.
High-level written andverbal communication skills and strong digital literacy, with the abilityto turn data into meaningful insights for audiences from field staff toExecutive.
On a typical day you'll be:
Advising leaders,workers and stakeholders on WHS and injury management legislation, codesof practice and Council's HSW policies and procedures.
Facilitating riskassessments for complex and high-risk activities, and designing andverifying critical controls in the field.
Leading incidentinvestigations and working with stakeholders to make sure correctiveactions are implemented, closed out and effective.
Managing workerscompensation, injury management and recovery-at-work cases, and liaisingwith our insurer and scheme agent.
Delivering assuranceactivities, including critical control checks, audits, inspections andcontractor on-site verification.




Coaching leaders anddelivering training, workshops and education programs to build safety andwellbeing capability.
Analysing safety data toproduce HSW performance reporting for the Safety Committee and Executive.
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent 35 hours perweek
Salary (exclusive of super): Starting in the range of $112,****** to $125,****** depending on skills and experience
Prospect for performance-based increase available achieving agreed goals.
This rolealso qualifies for a Leaseback or Vehicle allowance
