Based in West Footscray, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experiencedWood Machinistto join our manufacturing team.
This is a key position within our operations, responsible for producing varying high-quality products and highly skill based that are critical to our manufacturing process.
Working within ourwood machining department, you will work with a variety of materials, including solid timber and various board products, using a range of woodworking machinery, saws and equipment - in particular with our spindle moulder and panel saw.
The position is hands‐on and diverse, providing the opportunity to work across different stages of production and develop your skills across a broad range of woodworking applications.
As acoffin and casket manufacturer, our production requirements can vary considerably.
The ability to manufacture specialised products from raw materials, often to specific customer requirements, is an key part of this role.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, can work independently and is confident taking on different challenges as they arise.
About You
Experience withmoulders, panel saws and other woodworking machinerywill be highly valued.
Has cabinetmaking, woodworking or relevant manufacturing experience
Is confident operating woodworking machinery and saws




Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in producing quality work
Can work independently while also contributing positively to a team
Is practical, reliable and willing to take on a variety of tasks
Has the ability to read and work from measurements, specifications and customer requirements
Is keen to continue developing their skills and knowledge
A forklift licence would also be advantageous (yet not required).
