13d ago , from Jenny Barbour IT And Project RecruitmentAdobe Commerce / Magento 2 & AWS experienceMajor eCommerce transformationOur client is undertaking a major digital and eCommerce transformation.We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer to take ownership of the server-side architecture connecting Adobe Commerce/Magento 2, AWS services, APIs and event-driven integrations.Key Skills & ResponsibilitiesAnalyse business requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications, solution designs and scalable backend solutions.Develop and maintain Adobe Commerce/Magento 2 customisations, extensions, modules and APIs using PHP, Magento APIs, App Builder, API Mesh and RabbitMQ – mandatory.Design, build and maintain AWS serverless and event-driven solutions, including Lambda, EventBridge and IAM.Design and develop secure, high-performing REST and GraphQL APIs, and build integrations connecting Magento with ecommerce, ERP, logistics and third-party systems.Own data integrity and synchronisation across orders, inventory, pricing and catalogue data.Develop microservices, automation and data transformation solutions using Node.js and/or Python,



supported by strong SQL/database skills and exposure to DynamoDB or NoSQL.Apply MACH, composable, headless and API-first architecture principles to modern ecommerce solutions.Implement secure application and integration solutions with a robust understanding of OAuth2, JWT and web security best practices.Manage the full development lifecycle including coding, testing, debugging, documentation, deployment and production support, with strong Git and CI/CD practices.Troubleshoot complex application and integration issues, conducting root-cause analysis and resolving performance, reliability and scalability challenges.Collaborate closely with frontend, IT and business stakeholders to maintain effective API contracts, integrations and operational support.Contribute to code reviews, automation, CI/CD improvements, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
