Qualified Carpenter / 4th year Carpentry ApprenticeLachlan Fleming Constructions Pty Ltd is seeking a Qualified Carpenter and 4th year Carpentry Apprentice to join our growing team based in Woodend, Victoria.
This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to work on diverse carpentry and construction projects in a collaborative and professional environment.
Whether you are a fully qualified tradesperson or nearing completion of your apprenticeship, this role will provide you with the chance to develop your skills, contribute to high-quality construction work, and progress your career in the carpentry and cabinet-making industry.What you'll be doingExecute carpentry tasks on residential and commercial construction projects with precision and attention to detailInterpret building plans, specifications and technical drawings to guide project executionMeasure, cut, shape and fit timber and other materials according to project requirementsInstall frameworks, flooring, roofing, wall and door systems to specificationPerform finishing work including sanding, staining and protective treatments on timber surfacesMaintain tools and equipment in safe working condition and participate in regular tool maintenanceAdhere to workplace health and safety standards, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipmentCollaborate effectively with other trades and construction team members on siteSupport site supervisors and project managers to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budgetFor apprentices: continue development of practical carpentry skills under supervision of experienced tradespeopleWhat we're looking forCurrent carpentry trade qualification or demonstrated completion of 2rd year apprenticeship (3rd and 4th year apprentices welcome to apply)Strong understanding of building codes,
