In this critical role, you will be responsible for the proactive and reactive electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our industrial printing presses, finishing equipment, and associated plant machinery.
You will play a vital role in ensuring maximum uptime, efficiency, and safety within our fast-paced manufacturing environment.What you'll be doingPerform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance on a wide range of industrial electrical systems, including:Digital printing presses (e.g., HP Indigo, Ricoh, Kornits, wide-format printers)Finishing equipment (e.g., cutters, binders, laminators, folders, trimmers)Conveyor systems and automated material handling equipmentHVAC electrical systems, air compressors, and other ancillary plant equipmentGeneral factory electrical infrastructure (lighting, power distribution, switchboards)Diagnose, troubleshoot, and rectify complex electrical faults quickly and efficiently to minimise production downtime.Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams.Execute electrical installations, modifications, and upgrades to plant machinery and control systems, ensuring compliance with AS/NZS **** (Wiring Rules) and other relevant Australian Standards.Conduct routine inspections, testing,



and tagging of electrical equipment in accordance with WHS regulations.Implement and adhere strictly to Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and other safe work practices.Collaborate effectively with Production Operators, and Engineering teams and external Technicians to support continuous improvement initiatives, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and equipment reliability.Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, parts used, and equipment history using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Proactively identify potential electrical issues, recommend improvements, and contribute to the development of maintenance schedules.Assist with the commissioning of new machinery and equipment.Participate in a roster for after-hours emergencies, if required, to support 24/7 operations and being flexible to work in night shifts as per business requirements.Must-haveAt least five years in work experience in a maintenance roleCurrent 'A Grade' Electrical license is mustRecognised trade certificate in a relevant electrical/electronic tradeAdvanced degree or additional certification in process control a plusLean training and experience preferredWorked or supervised electrical, electronics and process control maintenanceInstallations experienceAble to read electrical block diagrams, schematics as well as PLC ladder logicPreferredExperience in manufacturing, print, production or a similar operational environmentExperience using CMMS or equivalent systemsExperience with trouble shooting machines and onsite infrastructuresPermanent opportunity in a stable manufacturing operationStrong team workplace with a focus on safety, pace and accountabilityOpportunity to grow your leadership capability in a global businessRecognised in the AFR Top 10 Best Places to Work
