04/9/264072844Senior Accountant/Finance ManagerQualifiedSydneyPermanent / Full TimeJob DescriptionDue to expansion a role has come about for a strong Senior Accountant/ Finance Manager to join the team.Reporting directly to an approachable Financial Controller, you will join the team and play a key role across the broader financial accounting function.The position offers a genuine mix of financial accounting, reporting, tax and commercial exposure.ResponsibilitiesManaging month-end and year-end financial accounting processesPreparing management reports and financial analysisCompleting balance sheet reconciliationsSupporting budgeting and forecastingAssisting with Australian tax compliance and reporting obligationsSupporting external tax advisors and tax lodgementsAssisting with listed-company reporting requirementsSupporting finance projects and process improvement initiativesIdentifying opportunities to improve systems,



controls and processesWorking closely with senior stakeholders across the businessProviding support to the Financial Controller on various projects and analysisThere is an element of tax compliance, however this isn't a dedicated tax position.
The role will suit someone who enjoys a broad financial accounting remit with exposure across tax and other areas of finance.About YouYou will be an experienced Senior Accountant Finance Manager who enjoys taking ownership and working across a diverse remit.Ideally, you will have:CA/CPA qualification or be working towards completionStrong financial accounting and month-end experienceExperience with management reporting and balance sheet reconciliationsExposure to budgeting and forecastingExperience with Australian tax complianceStrong attention to detail and analytical skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsA proactive approach and willingness to get involvedAn interest in process improvement and finance transformationExperience in construction or other project-based environment would be advantageous.
