SENIOR AUDIO VISUAL TECHNICIAN / OPERATIONS MANAGERSublime Audio Visual is looking for an experienced Senior AV Technician / Operations Manager to take ownership of our technical operations and help drive the next stage of our business.The role is based at our North Lakes office, so applicants should ideally live within approximately a 30-minute commute of North Lakes, or be based on Brisbane's north side.This is more than a technician role.
We're looking for someone who can lead people, manage multiple productions, solve complex technical problems and make sure the entire operation runs smoothly.If you're the person other technicians turn to when things get complicated, we'd like to hear from you.Take the lead.What you'll doYou'll have responsibility across people, equipment, logistics, events, clients and systems, including:Lead day-to-day technical operationsPlan and coordinate multiple eventsAllocate technicians and casual crewManage equipment, warehouse, vehicles and logisticsOversee bump-ins, event operations and bump-outsLead technically demanding productionsTroubleshoot complex AV and signal-flow issuesWork directly with clients,



venues and suppliersAssist with technical quoting and production planningDevelop and improve operational systems and proceduresTrain and develop techniciansMaintain high technical and presentation standardsIdentify problems before they become expensive problemsWhat we're looking forYou'll need substantial professional AV experience and strong knowledge across areas such as:Skilled audio and digital mixingWireless microphones and RFCorporate presentation systemsVideo switching and distributionProjectors and LED screensLighting and event productionDante and networked AVStaging and event infrastructureMore importantly, you'll be someone who takes ownership, stays calm under pressure, communicates well and naturally looks for ways to improve the operation.Commercial awareness is important too.
