About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Team Leader to join the team on a full-time basis working Monday to Friday at our Westhaven Retirement Village & Residential Aged Care home in Toowoomba.
Reporting to the Regional Asset Manager, this role will ensure the condition and appearance of our homes are of the highest standard to provide a pleasant and safe environment for residents, staff and visitors.
This includes:
Hands-on repairs and maintenanceManagement and co-ordination of maintenance of the building and its environmentHigh level of customer service to residentsMaintenance of records and reportsBudget managementProvide leadership, supervision and co-ordinate site maintenance staffComply with current legislative standards around maintenance, aged care workplace health & safety and manual handling
About You
To be successful in this role, our preferred candidate will have:




Knowledge of maintenance procedure and commercial and domestic construction practiceExperience in Contractor ManagementKnowledge of relevant legislation requirements, codes & standardsUnderstanding and empathy towards aged persons and their living requirementsRelevant Certificate IV qualification and/or significant relevant experienceValid working rights and open manual driver's licence (Class C)Current national Police Check and NDIS Clearance (or willing to obtain)A pre-employment medical assessment may be required for this roleAvailability to participate in a shared on-call roster to ensure continuity of service
