You'll manage compliance work end to end, build direct relationships with clients, and get exposure to more complex tax and advisory matters as you develop.Key responsibilitiesPrepare financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, sole traders, partnerships, companies and trustsPrepare and lodge BAS, IAS and other periodic ATO obligationsAssist with SMSF annual accounts, member statements and tax returnsHandle Division 7A, trust distribution, franking and CGT calculations with appropriate reviewManage your own client relationships, including queries, information requests and ATO correspondenceReview bookkeeping and Xero files, and coach clients on getting their records rightSupport the director on advisory work such as structuring, property transactions and ESS mattersKeep workflow,



deadlines and lodgement programs up to date in Xero Practice ManagerAbout youBachelor's degree in accounting or a related disciplineMinimum three years' experience in an Australian public practice firmSolid working knowledge of Australian income tax, GST, FBT and CGT for small business clientsConfident with Xero, Xero Tax and Xero Practice Manager; BGL Simple Fund 360 experience is a plusComfortable using ATO online services and dealing with the ATO directlyStrong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple jobs and deadlines without close supervisionClear, professional communication with clients who don't speak accountingFull Australian working rightsAbout usLL Tax & Accounting is a growing boutique practice in Melbourne's south-east.
