Our client is a NSW government department thatworks to protect and uplift the state's environment and heritageRole Description:The Senior Media Advisors will undertake effective media communications, actively liaise with media representatives to enhance the reputation of the department's brand, prepare media collateral including articles, press kits and press releases, and other information.Responsibilities:Develop and distribute media materials in consultation with the Media Manager and subject matter expertsMonitor and manage emerging media and reputational issuesProvide strategic media and communications advice to executives and business areas.Prepare media releases, statements and responses to enquiriesSupport major initiatives, events and campaigns through proactive media engagementDevelop briefing materials, speeches and FAQs as required.Build and maintain strong relationships with media representatives, Ministerial Offices and senior stakeholders.Support continuous improvement of media processes and systemsAbility to navigate in a fast paced, highly confidential environment with tight deadlines and respond quickly to emerging and contentious issuesTertiary qualifications in Media, Journalism, Communications or a related field, or equivalent experience.Demonstrated experience in media relations and issues managementGovernment experience an advantageStrong writing, editing and stakeholder management skills.Experience dealing with complex media issues and a broad range of media organisationsAbility to navigate in a fast paced, highly confidential environment with tight deadlines and respond quickly to emerging and contentious issuesExperience managing reputational risks and stakeholder expectationsOur client is a NSW government department thatworks to protect and uplift the state's environment and heritageRole Description:The Senior Media Advisors will undertake effective media communications,
