The fixed plant maintenance division on site offers:Even time 7:7 roster (days and nights)Work on a range of underground fixed plant equipment in a varied and challenging role.DIDO from anywhere in central NSW with DIDO allowances provided.Motel style accommodation provided with buffet style mealsThe roleReporting directly to the supervisor on your crew you will enjoy working in a diverse role where you'll develop a broad range of skill in both the workshop and in the field.
Working in a close-knit team of trades you will be involved with:Scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and rebuilds on a range of surface and underground fixed plant machineryResponding to breakdowns and diagnosing issues underground and across the mine siteWorking on conveyors, crushers, screens, and other fixed plant machinery where requiredYour skills and experienceIdeally, you will come from a background working as an mechanical fitter working on the duties listed above.
You will have:Trade qualification (Cert III mechanical fitting, fixed and mobile plant, fitter / turner)Underground mining experience (not essential, highly advantageous)An excellent attitude towards work and desire to work in an underground hard rock mineAbility to work on machinery in the field and workshopAbility to work unsupervised and in a team environmentDriver's licenseContract and salaryMarble is partnered with this underground mining principal to supply long term employees to the site.
The opportunity exists to join the company on an initial contract through Marble and transition over to the clients' books after a short probation period.
