With safety at the centre of its people strategy, they are seeking an experienced WHS Manager to lead a capable team and partner with leaders to enhance safety performance, build leadership capability and support a proactive approach to workplace health and safety across the organisation.About the RoleThe WHS Manager will provide leadership to a team of safety professionals while partnering closely with operational and corporate leaders to drive a practical and proactive approach to health, safety and wellbeing.Combining strategic oversight with hands-on involvement, you'll provide expert guidance on safety, risk and compliance matters, support operational decision-making and play a key role in improving safety performance and strengthening risk management practices across a complex and diverse workforce.You'll be a trusted advisor to senior leaders, helping them navigate risk, strengthen accountability and deliver sustainable safety outcomes that support both employees and organisational performance.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, coach and develop a team of WH&S; professionalsPartner with leaders to drive safe, engaged and productive workplacesProvide expert advice across workplace health, safety, risk and wellbeingOversee incident management, investigations and corrective actionsSupport the development,



implementation and enhancement of WHS frameworks, policies and programsInfluence and coach leaders to strengthen safety leadership capabilityMonitor and interpret safety data to identify trends and improvement opportunitiesDrive initiatives that enhance safety performance and organisational outcomesContribute to business-wide projects, change initiatives and organisational prioritiesBuild strong relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholdersAbout YouDemonstrated experience in a WH&S; Manager, Senior Safety Business Partner or similar leadership roleProven ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders across all organisational levelsExperience operating within a large, complex and unionised environmentStrong working knowledge of contemporary WHS legislation, risk management and compliance requirementsExcellent communication, coaching and stakeholder management skillsA pragmatic and commercially minded approach to problem solvingDemonstrated experience leading, developing and mentoring safety teamsComfortable balancing strategic priorities with operational deliveryHold relevant tertiary qualifications in Work Health & Safety, Human Resources or a related discipline, with postgraduate qualifications highly regardedTandem Partners is an equal chance employer.
