developing team capability and maintaining strong relationships with government clients and stakeholders.Combining technical expertise with people leadership, you will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the practice while contributing to the broader leadership of Crown Law.Key responsibilities include:Leading, mentoring and developing a team of lawyersProviding strategic advice across complex property, planning and infrastructure mattersAdvising on major government projects, land transactions and development initiativesBuilding and maintaining trusted relationships with government clients and stakeholdersSupporting practice management, governance and service delivery outcomesFostering a collaborative, accountable and high-performing team cultureContributing to capability development and continuous improvement initiatives across the practiceOverseeing the delivery of high-quality legal services while managing risk and professional standardsThis is a genuine opportunity to influence both legal outcomes and team performance while contributing to the strategic leadership of Crown Law.Crown Law offers an inclusive, balanced workplace with achievable billable targets and genuine flexibility, giving senior lawyers space to lead without private practice pressure.
Total package includes a 15% allowance that recognises senior expertise, other benefits include competitive superannuation, parental leave and wellbeing initiatives.Your Skills ProfileYou will be an accomplished property, planning or infrastructure lawyer with robust leadership capability, commercial judgement and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.While experience across all aspects of property, planning and infrastructure law is not essential, you will contribute expertise from one or more relevant areas and the ability to apply that knowledge across complex government matters.You will bring:Approximately 10+ years' post-admission experience in property, planning, infrastructure or a related practice areaStrong technical expertise in complex property transactions, development, infrastructure, planning or government projectsDemonstrated experience leading, mentoring or developing legal practitionersExcellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skillsThe ability to provide strategic advice on complex, sensitive or high-profile mattersStrong drafting, negotiation and problem-solving capabilitySound commercial judgement and decision-making skillsA collaborative and authentic leadership styleThis opportunity will appeal to a senior practitioner seeking a leadership role that combines strategic legal work, meaningful public sector impact and involvement in projects that help shape Queensland's future.Please note applications close 5pm Tuesday 22nd of September ****.
