Disability Support Worker - Slacks Creek
Make a Meaningful Difference Nextt is seeking anexperienced male Disability Support Workerto provide dedicated 1:1 support to a male participant living with apsychosocial disability.
The participant requiresstructured, person-centred, trauma-informed and consistent care.
You will play a crucial role in supporting the participant to continue living as independently as possible, while helping to maintain a stable, safe and supportive environment that promotes wellbeing, independence and emotional regulation.
Encouraging healthy communication and positive relationship building is an important part of the role.
This includes respecting the participant's choices, cultural values, dignity and independence at all times.
You'll provide consistent 1:1 support while:
Supporting the participant's independence, wellbeing and emotional regulation
Providing structured, trauma-informed and person-centred support
Building a positive, respectful and qualified relationship
Encouraging healthy communication and positive relationship building
Respecting the participant's choices, cultural values, dignity and independence
Supporting daily activities and community participation as required
Following support plans and positive behaviour support strategies
Responding appropriately to complex behavioural needs
Providing overnight support and sleepover shifts as rostered

This is aPermanent Part-Time position with a two-week rotating rosterWeek 1
Monday:3:00pm–9:00am, including a10:00pm–6:00am sleepover

Wednesday:9:00am–5:04pm
Thursday:3:00pm–9:00am, including a10:00pm–6:00am sleepover
Friday:Off
Saturday:Off
Sunday:Off
Week 2

Please note: You must be available to work the full two-week rotating roster.Pay Rates E3.1 PPT – SILSCHADS Award PPT Schedule E SIL rates (before tax), plus annual and personal leave:

About You We are looking fortwo experienced, patient and reliable male support workerswho can remain calm, consistent and respectful when supporting someone with complex needs.You must have experience working with participants with complex behavioural needs and will ideally have:
Demonstrated experience supporting people with psychosocial disability
Strong experience working with complex behavioural needs
A structured, trauma-informed and person-centred approach
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
The ability to follow support plans and positive behaviour support strategies
A genuine commitment to promoting choice, dignity, independence and wellbeing
A calm, respectful and consistent approach to support
Previous NDIS or disability support experience
