Job Description

The Mould Room Maintenance Shift Fitter will be a part of a team working for the Glass Manufacturing Plant. You will utilise your trade and other skills to perform routine maintenance on Glass forming mould gear/tooling used in the high-speed Glass blowing process. This position work on a continous rotating shift roster working 12 hours shifts across a 2 days, 2 off, 2 nights, 2 off continous pattern.

The Role

Inspect, maintain, monitor, troubleshoot, gauge and repair all Mould Gear components as required
n
Manual and CNC machining work on mould gear
n
Respond to production quality/performance issues as required
n
Conduct routine preventative maintenance
n
Process collection, clean and repair of mould gear
n
Preparation of gear for Job Change teams
n
Ensure safety and quality standards are maintained
n
Other duties as directed by the Mouldroom Leader

About You

n

n
Trade Qualification – Toolmaker or Maintenance Fitter & Turner
n
Have a high attention to detail and eye for quality
n
Experience in accurate mould/tooling maintenance
n
CNC & Manual machining experience preferable but not essential
n
MIG, TIG and Oxy welding experience preferable but not essential
n
Capacity to work autonomously
n
Flexibility in working hours
n
Solid safety focus
