The role involves planning and implementing The Smith Family Scholarships and taking a strength based, family led practice approach to support stronger educational outcomes for students.
You will maintain key relationships with a range of stakeholders, including families on the program, partner schools, community groups and volunteers.
As a champion of our work within the community, you'll find this a highly engaging and fulfilling opportunity that makes a difference to the lives of Australian children every day.While every day will be different, you will primarily be responsible for:Liaising with Schools and Principals on the progress of student referrals to the programEnhancing relationships with key people in Schools to positively impact on attendance and school completion ratesUsing a strengths-based approach to build family's capacity to support their children's educationTaking a family led practice approach to maximise school attendance and support key transitionsEnsuring excellent database management and administration support for studentsAbout youFamily Partnership Coordinators come from varied backgrounds with different skills and experience.As well as passion for fostering student success, you will bring:Experience building strong relationships with families and community stakeholders in roles such as a Family support Worker, Community Engagement Worker, Social Worker or School Liaison OfficerEffective interpersonal and communication skillsCapability to work autonomously; organising your own day, problem solving and adapting when things don't go to planComputer literacy and motivation; completing administrative or data entry tasks and achieving goalsA current driver's licence.Employees are at the centre of The Smith Family's values and operations.
