Team Transport & Logistics is seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our growing team in Acacia Ridge, QLD.
This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety, reliability and performance of our fleet.
As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and servicing heavy vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring our operations run smoothly and our vehicles remain roadworthy.
This position is integral to our commitment to safety and operational excellence.Key responsibilitiesPerform routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicles including trucks, trailers and related equipmentDiagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues accuratelyConduct vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with roadworthiness standards and safety regulationsRepair and replace components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems and hydraulic systemsMaintain detailed service records and documentation for all work completed on vehiclesAdvise drivers and fleet managers on vehicle maintenance requirements and repair recommendationsEnsure all work is completed safely and in accordance with relevant legislation and company proceduresContribute to a protected and organised workshop environment, maintaining tools and equipment in good conditionWhat we're looking forCurrent Heavy Vehicle Mechanic qualifications or equivalent recognised certificationProven experience working on heavy vehicles, including trucks,



trailers and commercial fleet vehiclesStrong knowledge of engine systems, brake systems, electrical systems, transmission and suspensionProficiency with diagnostic equipment and mechanical toolsAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints and service specificationsCurrent or valid driver's licence (manual vehicles preferred)Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a teamKnowledge of workplace health and safety requirements relevant to automotive maintenanceExperience with fleet maintenance or transport industry operations is highly desirableWhat we offerTeam Transport & Logistics is committed to providing our employees with a supportive and family orientated environment.
