We are seeking a Chef or Cook for a full time role in the Highlands Cafe.The Cafe primarily serves staff, members of the church community and public, and is separate to the College Tuckshop facilities that serve students.About the roleThis is a full time Monday to Friday role with minimal overtime or weekend work.Key responsibilitiesLeading and coordinating the cafe team during daily operationsPreparing and cooking food, overseeing presentation and food qualityMaintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanlinessAssisting with day-to-day management of the cafe,



menu planning and staff rostersManaging stock levels and ordering from suppliersSupporting a positive and welcoming environment in the Campus hubAbout YouThe successful applicant should have the following characteristics and skills:Previous cafe or hospitality experiencePositive attitude and customer focusAbility to work in a quick-paced environment during peak timesCommitment to excellence in food standards and presentationStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to obtain a blue card (working with children check)Qualifications are not essential but will be highly regarded
