Our Engineering division designs and constructs manufacturing facilities, refurbishes existing facilities and designs and constructs automation plant for manufacturing plants and warehouses.About the roleWe are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team based at our Somersby, NSW manufacturing facility.This role will provide mechanical engineering support across the scoping, design, installation and commissioning of engineering projects involving production processing machinery.
You will be responsible for:Designing mechanical equipment, machinery, components, plant and systemsProviding engineering input into the installation, assembly, maintenance and commissioning of machineryReviewing drawings, specifications, materials and equipmentCoordinating project labour, materials, plant and equipmentLiaising with management, contractors, consultants, suppliers and production teamsInvestigating and assisting with engineering and technical issuesPreparing project plans addressing safety,



quality and environmental requirementsMonitoring project risks, costs, progress and resource requirementsSupporting continuous improvement and productive use of people and equipmentParticipating in risk assessments, hazard identification and toolbox meetingsMaintaining high standards of workplace health and safety, quality and housekeepingThis is a full-time position, with a compressed working week of Monday to Thursday (6:00am-4:00pm).
Salary for this position will be not less than $79,499 per annum.About youTo be considered for this position you will have:Mechanical Engineering Degree or other related engineering degreeAt least two years' engineering experienceExperience supporting projects involving the installation of production processing machineryStrong technical, analytical, numerical, written and verbal communication skillsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsStrong coordination, leadership and problem-solving skillsA practical, organised and solutions-focused approachA commitment to workplace health and safetyAs part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination which includes functional, audiometric, drug and alcohol testing.Crossmuller is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
