As a Doggy Daycare Teacher, no two days will be exactly the same! You'll be responsible for helping create a safe, positive and enjoyable environment for our dogs while also helping keep the daycare running smoothly.
Key responsibilities
Supervising groups of dogs during play and rest periods
Confidently managing groups of dogs, potentially supervising up to 30 dogs at a time
Monitoring dog behaviour, body language and interactions
Managing play appropriately and stepping in when necessary
Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of every dog in our care
Providing plenty of attention, enrichment and positive interaction
Helping with cleaning and general daycare routines
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised daycare setting
Greeting customers during drop-off and pick-up
Communicating professionally and warmly with dog owners
About you
Has a genuine love and passion for dogs
Is confident handling and working around dogs of different sizes, breeds and personalities
Can confidently supervise a large group of dogs and remain calm in a busy workplace
Has a valuable understanding of dog behaviour and body language — or is eager to learn
Is physically capable of being active and on their feet throughout the day
Is friendly, well-spoken and has great manners when interacting with customers
Works well as part of a team or individually and is comfortable receiving and acting on feedback
Is reliable, punctual and takes responsibility for their work
Can follow instructions, procedures and safety guidelines
Is willing to learn and develop their knowledge of dogs and daycare operations

The Dawg House is a brand-new outdoor doggy daycare opening its doors in October 2026. We're creating a fun, safe and exciting workplace where dogs can play, socialise, exercise and enjoy their day.
