Salary : $75,000 - $85,000 a year TEFCO Trailers have been manufacturing custom-built trailer combinations since 1988, with experienced in end-to-end manufacturing, repairs and service requirements. They are currently looking for hardworking and dedicated Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson to join their team.

Duties and Responsibilities n

n
Prepare detailed 2D and 3D mechanical engineering drawings, plans and designs using CAD software.
n
Prepare detailed drawings for mechanical equipment, components, structures and manufacturing assemblies.
n
Develop fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, component drawings, cross-sectional views and detailed manufacturing plans.
n
Assist Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Technologists with the design and development of mechanical equipment and trailer components.
n
Interpret engineering specifications, design concepts, sketches and technical information and translate them into accurate engineering drawings.
n
Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM), Bills of Quantities (BOQ),



material specifications and component schedules.
n
Calculate and document material quantities and dimensions required for manufacturing and fabrication.
n
Review drawings and designs to ensure dimensions, materials, tolerances and other technical requirements are accurately documented.
n
Conduct and verify measurements of existing mechanical components, structures and equipment and incorporate measurements into engineering drawings.
n
Revise drawings based on engineering changes, site measurements, workshop feedback and redline mark-ups.
n
Liaise with Mechanical Engineers, Engineering Technologists, production personnel and fabricators regarding drawings, specifications and manufacturing requirements.

Skills and Experience nn
At least 2 years of experience
n
Robust practical experience using SolidWorks, including 3D modelling, assemblies and detailed 2D drawings.
n
Robust understanding of mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
n
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
n
