We are currently looking for a talented Womenswear Designer to join our team.Key responsibilitiesDesign womenswear styles based on client briefs, moodboards, and market trendsCreate CADs, technical drawings, and design conceptsAssist with the development of seasonal collections and capsule rangesResearch fabrics, trims, colours, prints, and market trendsWork closely with pattern makers, sample makers, factories, and the production teamReview samples and provide clear fit and design commentsAssist with tech packs, measurement specs, and development documentsEnsure designs are commercially suitable for the Australian and international womenswear marketAdditional Requirements / SkillsComfortable using AI tools to support the design process, including moodboard creation, concept development, print direction, colour exploration, and presentation visualsAbility to design original prints and patterns for womenswear collections, including floral, placement, conversational, geometric,



and seasonal printsAble to use AI as a creative support tool while still ensuring designs are commercially suitable, technically achievable, and aligned with the brand/customer briefExperience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, including AI-assisted editing, recolouring, print development, and layout presentation, is preferredAbout you3 years experience in womenswear designStrong understanding of woven and knit garments, including dresses, tops, pants, skirts, and outerwearAbility to create transparent CADs and technical drawingsProficient in Adobe Illustrator and PhotoshopGood understanding of fabrics, garment construction, fit, and production processesStrong eye for detail, colour, print, and trendsExcellent communication and time management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExperience in wholesale, private label, or offshore production is highly regardedMust be able to read and write Mandarin ChineseAbout usSlide Show is a Melbourne-based womenswear wholesale and product development company.
