As a result, we are seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians (Carpenters / Handymen) to join our team.
Sole Traders Need Not ApplyLocationWe are looking for personnel based in the Hunter Region, with works primarily located from Newcastle through to Singleton.
Occasional travel to Northern and Central NSW may be required.The RoleYou will take ownership of assigned projects, delivering remedial and repair works across a range of building maintenance tasks.
This is a hands‐on position, requiring you to carry out work independently as well as alongside subcontractors.You will also:Oversee site safety and complianceAssist in coordinating construction programsManage subcontractors to ensure timely,



high‐quality outcomesSupport pricing and scoping of worksKey ResponsibilitiesAssist in developing work procedures and SWMSPlan and organise labour, plant, equipment, and materials in line with program and budgetMonitor site activities to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standardsConduct and document site pre‐starts and safety inspectionsManage safety incidents in conjunction with Operations and WHS ManagersSupervise works through regular site inspectionsCoordinate and manage subcontractorsTrack productivity against budget and implement improvements where requiredIdentify variations or delays and report promptlyBuild and maintain solid client relationshipsAdditional DutiesReview subcontractor workmanship and ensure quality standards are metDirect rework where requiredReport completed works to the Operations ManagerRequirementsMandatoryPermanent work rights with no restrictions
