$2,****** per fortnight excluding applicable allowances plus superannuationPosition Brief - Leading Hand Precinct OperationsAbout the teamCommunity Facilities Maintenance is a service provider for the Cities Asset managers providing all types of maintenance activities and minor installations when requested.The Urban Precincts teams provide detailed City Cleaning, Horticultural, and minor maintenance services to Broadwater Parklands, Village Heart, HOTA, and Robina Green Heart to ensure that the public is ready to use the facilities.About the roleAn exciting opportunity has become available for a Leading Hand Precinct Operations to work from one of our Urban Precincts within the City Facilities Maintenance Branch.Under direction of the Supervisor Urban Precincts Operations and Maintenance, you will work as part of a team responsible for maintaining and enhancing parks, landscaped and recreational spaces within the Cities open space regions and road network and other general duties listed below:Provide day-to-day supervision and direction for a work teamBudget management and monitoring of specific precinctsPlanting, pruning, mulching, hedging, removing green waste, spraying herbicides/weed removal and operating equipment such as leaf blowers, chainsaws, mowers, hedgers, water blasters and pole sawsToilet and BBQ cleaningServicing of wheelie binsRide on mower operationsDaily playground visual inspections and cleaningDemonstrate behaviours that contribute to a positive and successful teamFollow established work practices and consistently deliver high quality workWe're looking for people who have:Certificate IV Horticulture / relevant qualification or equivalent knowledge and experienceMR Class Drivers Licence or higher (Unrestricted) (Mandatory)General Construction Induction Card (White)
