The ItsMy Group is a Melbourne-based private health insurance distribution business. We work with leading health funds and a growing broker network to help Australians find the right cover. Our finance team sits at the centre of the business, supporting sales, broker partners, technology and compliance.

About the role n

This is a hands-on senior role for someone who likes owning the numbers. You'll run the month-end close, manage the accuracy of our fund RCTI process, and be the go-to contact for broker and fund queries. You'll also lead our Operational Accountant, reviewing their work and helping them grow.

Key responsibilities n

n
Own month-end close (Prepare and review) – Journals and BS Reconciliations
n
Prepare the monthly P&L; and balance sheet
n
Manage fund RCTI processing and broker commission payments
n
Act as the main contact for broker and fund queries
n
Review AP/AR, payroll and bank reconciliation work before sign-off
n
Maintain the fixed asset register
n
Support Sales, Technology and Compliance with their reporting needs
n




Coordinate the year-end pack for external accountants and auditors
n
Handle ad hoc analysis for the GM Finance and Senior Finance Business Partner
n
Manage and develop the Operational Accountant
n

What we're looking for nn
4+ years in a senior accounting role in a commercial business
n
Proven experience running month-end close and preparing management accounts
n
Experience reviewing or supervising a junior team member
n
Advanced Excel skills
n
CA/CPA qualified or working towards it (desirable)
n
Accurate, organised and able to hit deadlines without close supervision
n
Able to explain results clearly to non-finance managers
n
Real ownership of a core finance function
n
Hybrid working with a supportive, close-knit team
n
Broad exposure across funds, brokers and the wider business
n
A growing business investing in its systems and people
