We are looking for a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to undertake the servicing, diagnosis, maintenance and repair of light motor vehicles.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying mechanical faults, carrying out scheduled servicing and repairs, and ensuring vehicles are maintained in a safe and roadworthy condition.Key responsibilitiesInspecting and diagnosing mechanical faults in light motor vehicles, engines and associated components using appropriate diagnostic equipment and testing proceduresServicing, maintaining and repairing petrol engines and mechanical components, including transmissions, suspension, steering and braking systemsDismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other mechanical components, and inspecting parts for wear, damage or defectsRepairing or replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components in accordance with manufacturer specifications and service manualsPerforming scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrication, engine servicing and other preventative maintenanceDiagnosing and repairing engine management,



ignition and fuel injection systems using automotive diagnostic equipmentTesting and adjusting mechanical components and systems after repairs to ensure proper performance and safe operationConducting diagnostic tests and road tests to identify faults and verify that repairs have been completed effectivelyInspecting completed work and vehicle systems to ensure required safety, quality and operational standards are metMaintaining accurate records of vehicle servicing, repairs, parts replaced and work performedAbout youAn AQF Certificate III or higher qualification in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or a closely related automotive mechanical field, or an equivalent qualificationAt least 1 year of relevant Motor Mechanic experience in a commercial automotive workshop environmentSound knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems, servicing, fault diagnosis and repair proceduresAbility to use automotive diagnostic equipment, tools and measuring instrumentsStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently as well as effectively within a workshop teamGood communication and interpersonal skillsA strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanshipAbout usPrestige Sense Automotive Pty Ltd is an automotive repair and maintenance business located in Glen Waverley, Victoria.
