Wood Manufacturing Team Members – CNC/Machinery & AssemblyAshton Manufacturing Pty Ltd – Molendinar QLDAshton Manufacturing is one of Australia's leading funeral product manufacturers, proudly Australian owned and operated since ****.We are currently looking for hands‐on team members to join our manufacturing team across two key areas:1.
CNC & Wood Machinery – operating machinery to cut, shape and produce timber components used in our products.2.
Coffin Assembly – assembling wooden coffin carcases and components using hand tools, power tools and production equipment.We are particularly interested in people who have experience working with wood, CNC or woodworking machinery, cabinet making, joinery, furniture manufacturing, timber products or other hands‐on manufacturing environments.If you have the right practical skills and attitude, we will provide training on our products and processes.About Us:Since ****, Ashton Manufacturing has been proudly Australian owned and operated, manufacturing and supplying premium quality caskets, coffins, and accessories to funeral homes across the country.We offer one of the most comprehensive product ranges in the industry, including our patented Expression Coffin range, the internationally acclaimed Batesville Casket Company range, and our traditional Ashton Manufacturing line.

we're looking for people with previous experience operating CNC and/or woodworking machinery.Depending on your experience, your duties may include:Operating CNC and woodworking machinerySetting up machinery for different production requirementsCutting, shaping and machining timber componentsWorking with spindles and other timber componentsMeasuring and working accurately to specificationsUsing hand tools, power tools and manufacturing equipmentInspecting components for quality and defectsFollowing production schedules and work instructionsMaintaining machinery and work areas in a clean and safe conditionExperience in CNC operation, wood machining, cabinet making, joinery, furniture manufacturing, spindle moulding or timber manufacturing would be highly regarded.For our assembly area, we're looking for practical, hands‐on people who are confident working with wood and tools.Assembling wooden coffin carcases and componentsMeasuring and positioning components accuratelyUsing hand tools, power tools and assembly equipmentGluing, fixing and securing timber componentsChecking alignment,



fit and overall constructionInspecting completed work to ensure it meets our quality standardsFollowing production specifications and work instructionsSafely handling and moving products throughout the production areaMaintaining a clean, organised and safe workspacePrevious experience in cabinet making, joinery, furniture assembly, carpentry, timber manufacturing, construction, production or another hands‐on environment would be highly regarded.What We're Looking ForAcross both areas, we're looking for people who:Are reliable, punctual and have a strong work ethicEnjoy practical, hands‐on workTake pride in producing quality workHave strong attention to detailCan safely and confidently use tools and equipmentCan follow measurements, instructions and processesWork well as part of a teamAre physically capable of manual handling tasksFollow workplace health and safety requirementsAre looking for stable, long‐term employmentA current forklift licence would be highly regarded.These positions offer 38 hours per week.
Successful applicants will initially be employed on a casual basis during the probationary period.
