We are committed to a safe, inclusive and high-performing workplace.This is a two-year Fixed Term Graduate position.As a Graduate Vicmap Officer, you'll join the Vicmap team within Data & Digital, contributing to a multi-year transformation of how Victoria's foundational spatial data is produced, maintained and delivered.
You'll help translate customer needs into data and product requirements, support the analysis, testing and quality assurance of spatial data, and work across imagery, elevation and 3D data products.

mentoring and professional development to build your confidence and capability.What we're looking forYou're someone who:Manages your own tasks well and keeps accurate recordsCan draw insights from data and understands the basics of data qualityThinks critically and seeks guidance to work through problemsBrings ideas for improving how things are done, even under time pressureWorks well in a team and pitches in where neededHas a basic understanding of spatial data and mapping concepts, and is keen to build on thisQualifications and experienceMandatoryA relevant tertiary qualification in geospatial science, surveying, spatial information science/GIS, data science, computer science, information technology, software engineering, information systems, environmental science or a related disciplineExposure to spatial data and data infrastructures, databases, platforms and systems, through study, placement or work experienceInterest in or exposure to remote sensing, photogrammetry, imagery, elevation or 3D dataWho can apply?
