Working alongside experienced Mechanical Engineers, Estimators and Project Managers, you will gain practical exposure to the engineering, estimating and delivery of commercial HVAC and mechanical services projects.
You will be supported by experienced team members while developing your knowledge of HVAC systems, engineering calculations, estimating, tendering, design and project delivery.
The role will provide exposure to projects from the tender and design stages through to construction and completion.Key responsibilitiesAssisting with engineering calculations to support HVAC system designAssisting with HVAC load calculations and equipment selectionReviewing project plans and specifications and identifying relevant technical requirementsAssisting with the preparation and review of tender submissions and quotationsReviewing project documentation and providing technical comments and recommendationsInterpreting engineering and technical information and applying it to practical projectsAssisting with engineering requirements across Design & Construct projectsPreparing information and mark‐ups for drafting and engineering drawingsReviewing workshop and fabrication drawingsLiaising with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain technical information and pricingAbout youA Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree, or be nearing completion of your degreeAn interest in HVAC, mechanical services and the construction industryStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsGood written and verbal communication skillsA willingness to learn and develop current technical skillsThe ability to work both independently and as part of a teamA practical and solutions-focused approachThe ability to manage priorities and work across multiple projectsFull working rights in AustraliaAbout usAir Control Australia is a well-established and respected name in the heating, cooling and mechanical services industry.
