We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Trailer Mechanic to run our trailer workshop in Rocklea.
This is a full time long term day shift position.
Monday to Friday with half day work on Saturday.Key responsibilitiesPerforming scheduled maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on trailersInspecting and repairing suspension systems, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, and braking systemsReplacing and repairing lights, wiring harnesses, and basic electrical circuitsUsing and maintaining workplace tools and equipment effectivelyEnsuring the workshop remains clean, safe,



and efficientKeeping detailed records of work performed and participating in safety initiativesAbout youTrade Qualified Heavy Vehicle or Trailer MechanicExperience in mechanical repairs and servicing of semi-trailersStrong technical knowledge of heavy vehicle trailer systems and componentsA problem-solving mindset and proactive work ethicReliability, punctuality, and attention to detailBasic computer skills for data entry and record keepingAbout usLocal Freight is a progressive family-owned transport company servicing metro and North Queensland with a fleet of 80 plus trucks and trailers.
