Lake House is seeking an experienced Senior Waiting Staff member to join our team in Daylesford.

This role is perfect for someone with a passion for the hospitality industry who is ready to take make a meaningful impact on our restaurant's success.Key responsibilitiesDelivering outstanding, attentive service to guests whilst maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and courtesyTaking food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, with detailed knowledge of our menu offerings and wine selectionEnsuring tables are set correctly and maintained throughout service, with meticulous attention to detailManaging the pace of service and coordinating with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of mealsHandling guest queries, requests, and complaints with professionalism, discretion, and a solutions-focused approachMaintaining knowledge of current menu items, specials, and promotional offerings to enhance the guest experienceAssisting with inventory management, restocking of service items, and maintaining a clean and organised dining areaSupporting the restaurant team during peak service periods and special eventsWhat we're looking forMinimum 3–5 years' experience as waiting staff in a professional, upmarket dining establishmentProven leadership experience with the ability to mentor, train, and motivate junior staff membersExcellent customer service skills with a genuine passion for delivering memorable dining experiencesStrong knowledge of food and beverage service,



including wine pairing and menu knowledgeOutstanding communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with guests and team membersAbility to remain calm and composed during busy service periods, with strong problem-solving skillsMeticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanlinessFlexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as requiredCurrent RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification or willingness to obtain itPhysical fitness and stamina to stand for extended periods and carry items safelyExcellent time management and organisational abilitiesA professional appearance and polished demeanourPreferred: Experience in a fine dining or Michelin-star environment would be advantageousWhat we offerLake House is committed to creating a supportive and rewarding work environment for our team.
