Medical Receptionist / Medical Administrator
You will be responsible for the smooth, professional running of the practice's front-of-house and administrative functions.
Key responsibilities
Welcoming and assisting patients in a warm, professional manner
Managing a busy appointment schedule
Answering and managing telephone enquiries
Processing Medicare and private billing
Managing payments and patient accounts
Processing referrals and medical correspondence
Coordinating appointments, recalls and follow-ups
Liaising with specialists, hospitals, allied health providers and other healthcare professionals
Maintaining accurate patient information and records
Supporting doctors with their administrative requirements
About you
Experienced in medical reception or medical administration
Ideally experienced in a specialist/private medical practice
Highly organised and detail-oriented




Confident communicating with patients and medical professionals
Professional, warm and personable
Calm and composed in a busy environment
Technologically confident and able to learn new systems quickly
Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
Reliable and accountable
Able to prioritise competing demands
