We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Driver/Labourer to join our team at Al Sahel Metal Recyclers in Carrum Downs, Victoria.
This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the productive operation of our warehousing and distribution centre.
You will be responsible for moving, storing, and managing materials within our facility, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and contributing to the success of our metal recycling business.
This role offers the opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, industrial environment whilst working with a dedicated team.Key responsibilitiesOperating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload goods safely and efficientlyTransporting materials between different areas of the warehouse and distribution centreStacking and organizing materials in accordance with safety protocols and warehouse proceduresMaintaining accurate records of inventory movements and stock levelsConducting pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment to identify and report any mechanical issuesAssisting with general warehouse duties, including sweeping, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and orderly work environmentSupporting the loading and unloading of vehicles and containersFollowing all health and safety regulations and company policies at all timesCommunicating effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure coordinated operationsContributing to a culture of continuous improvement and operational efficiencyWhat we're looking forValid forklift license and certification or willingness to obtain one shortly after commencing employmentProven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environmentPhysical capability to perform manual labour tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periodsStrong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe working environmentAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentGood communication skills and reliability in attendanceWillingness to follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipmentExperience in the recycling or manufacturing sector is advantageous but not essentialA clear criminal record check and valid working rights in AustraliaAbout usAl Sahel Metal Recyclers is a leading metal recycling facility committed to sustainable practices and environmental responsibility.
