L&D; Micro Tunnelling are seeking a Fitter & Machinist to join our team.
We are based in Carrum Downs and work on civil construction projects throughout Victoria, primarily around Melbourne, Gippsland and the southeast suburbs.This is a casual position for 3-6 months.
Typical work hours are 7.00am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday with some weekends and overtime required.Key responsibilitiesMaintenance & assembly of drill heads & equipmentRespond to breakdowns on-siteWork on current R&D; tunnelling equipmentAbout youWhite Card or red cardAustralian trade Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical trade (Fitter & Machinist) with a Minimum of 2-year experience trade qualifiedStrong ability to read, interpret and apply technical and engineering drawingsAdept in Mig welding, fabrication, Manual lathe and Milling machinesHigh attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to be innovativeOwn reliable transportPhysically fitAvailable to work Monday to FridayReliable, hardworking, motivated and willing to learn new skills and add value to the teamExcellent pay rates and immediate startWork on a range of custom-built equipment
