mechanical overhaul and breakdown work.You'll work across a variety of industrial customer sites rather than maintaining the same production equipment every day.Typical work will include:Industrial steam and hot-water boiler annual maintenancePlanned shutdown maintenance and overhaul workRemoval and refitting of industrial burnersBoiler front and rear door removal and reassemblyBoiler mountings, gauge glasses and associated mechanical equipmentPumps, valves, actuators and steam/water systemsBearings, seals, shafts, couplings and mechanical drivesFlanged joints, gaskets and bolted connectionsMechanical fault finding and breakdown repairsPreparation of boilers and pressure equipment for statutory inspectionReassembly and preparation of plant for return to serviceGeneral industrial plant maintenanceWorkshop overhaul and preparation workWorking alongside our electrical, mechanical plumbing & Type B Gasfitting TechniciansWho we're looking forTrade-qualified Mechanical Fitter / Fitter & Turner or equivalentIdeally 5+ years post-trade industrial maintenance experienceStrong hands-on mechanical abilityExperience dismantling, inspecting, repairing and reassembling industrial equipmentConfident working with pumps, valves, bearings, seals, shafts, couplings and mechanical plantGood mechanical fault-finding skillsIndustrial shutdown and preventative maintenance experienceAble to work independently once familiar with the equipmentGood attention to detail and quality of workmanshipComfortable dealing directly with industrial customersCurrent Victorian driver's licenceWilling to participate in reasonable overtime and planned weekend shutdown workBoiler experience is highly regarded but not essential.Experience with steam systems, pressure equipment, industrial burners, process plants, food and beverage manufacturing,
