TerryWhite Chemmart Palmerston is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Intern Pharmacist to join our friendly and professional pharmacy team on a full-time basis, commencing in ****.This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacy graduate looking to undertake their pharmacist internship in a busy, well-established community pharmacy, with structured training, experienced pharmacist and preceptor support, and genuine hands-on experience across all aspects of community pharmacy practice.Salary: $79,423 per annum + superannuationAbout the RoleAs an Intern Pharmacist, you will work under the supervision of experienced pharmacists while developing the clinical, professional and operational skills required to progress towards general pharmacist registration.You will gain practical experience across prescription dispensing, patient counselling, dispensary operations, professional services and TerryWhite Chemmart Care Clinic services, while developing your knowledge and confidence in the safe and effective use of medicines.You will be supported to complete your Intern Training Program and relevant examinations, with structured training, professional development and regular preceptor meetings throughout your internship.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and dispense prescriptions efficiently and accurately under pharmacist supervisionProvide evidence-based counselling on prescription and over-the-counter medicines within your scope of practiceDeliver a high standard of customer service and ensure patients feel welcomed, valued and supportedMake appropriate referrals to the pharmacist where requiredParticipate in and promote TerryWhite Chemmart Care Clinic servicesSupport dispensary operations, including stock management,



ordering and dispensary complianceAssist with Dose Administration Aids where applicableParticipate in staged supply and/or opioid substitution programs under pharmacist supervisionPerform simple extemporaneous compounding under pharmacist supervision where requiredMaintain appropriate dispensary processes and skilled, legislative and QCPP standardsBuild positive working relationships with local doctors, allied health professionals and other healthcare providersComplete your Intern Training Program, required examinations and professional development activities within the agreed timeframeContribute positively to the pharmacy team and support junior team members and pharmacy students where appropriateThese responsibilities reflect the practical and professional scope of the Intern Pharmacist position, including dispensing, Care Clinic services, DAAs, compliance, compounding and staged supply services.About YouWe are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about developing their career in community pharmacy and is willing to take an active role in their professional development.To be considered for this position, you will have:A Bachelor of Pharmacy degree (or equivalent)Current provisional registration as a pharmacist with AHPRA, or eligibility to obtain provisional registration prior to commencementEnrolment, or eligibility to enrol, in an approved Intern Training ProgramStrong communication and interpersonal skillsGood attention to detail and computer literacyA genuine interest in community pharmacy and patient careA willingness to learn,
