This is a full time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing the team and ensuring every guest receives exceptional service.
As Front of House Supervisor, you will be the heart of our restaurant's customer experience, overseeing staff, managing guest interactions, leading by example and maintaining the high standards that define The Waterline Restaurant.
You will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment whilst ensuring smooth operational flow and consistency in service delivery across all shifts.Key responsibilitiesAssist Restaurant Manager in supervising front of house staff, ensuring professional conduct and adherence to service standardsGreet guests and provide them with a warm welcome, setting the tone for their dining experienceManage reservations and walk-in seating to optimise table turnover and guest satisfactionTrain and mentor front of house team members on service expectations, menu knowledge, and customer service excellenceMonitor service quality throughout service periods,



intervening promptly to resolve any guest concerns or service issuesCommunicate effectively with the kitchen and back of house teams to ensure timely and accurate order deliveryHandle customer complaints with professionalism and tact, working towards satisfactory resolutionsManage the reservation system and maintain accurate records of bookings and guest preferencesEnsure compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations across all dining areasSupport restaurant management with opening and closing proceduresContribute to a positive team culture and assist with staff scheduling as requiredWhat we're looking forMinimum 2 years' experience in front of house hospitality management or supervision within a busy restaurant or fine dining establishmentDemonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectivelyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong customer service orientationProfessional presentation and the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situationsKnowledge of hospitality systems and point-of-sale (POS) technologyStrong organisational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detailAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as requiredProblem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing service challengesPassion for hospitality and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiencesPreferred experience with wine service and beverage knowledgeWhat we offerAt The Waterline Restaurant, we value our team members and offer a supportive work environment where your contributions are recognised and appreciated.
